It has been eight point nine months since our wedding but "better late than never" etc...
Rewind to September 2015. Two of my dearest, Carlo and Lauren, tagged me in an article about a photographer and bride who documented her own wedding.
The bride, Liisa Luts, took beautifully intimate photos of her and her husband tying the knot. I fell in love with her images straight away. If you haven't already, check out Liisa's gorgeous gallery here. Prepare to swoon.
Liisa inspired me to carry a camera on our wedding day. I decided to ditch the flower bouquet and swapped it for my Fuji X100t camera. I had planned to take photos all day - photos of my sister and I getting ready, of our family and friends' faces as my Dad walked me down the aisle, of Carlo waiting for me. But on the day I was so overwhelmed with emotions that I forgot about my camera, which didn't matter anyway because our friend and amazing photographer, Michael, from Mel Hill Photography took over 700 photos of the day and captured it perfectly.
Although I didn't take as many photos as I had originally hoped to, I really love looking at these photos as a reminder of one of the happiest days of my life.
